FUTURE FIGURES: Dance and Emerging Technologies

FUTURE FIGURES gathers choreographers, technologists, and audiences for a day of pointed conversations, live performance/demonstrations, and talks from some of the most interesting artists working at the seam of dance and technology. In the keynote, Sydney Skybetter, Director of the Brown Arts Institute at Brown University, will argue that the future of dance is being authored right now, in laboratories, aerospace contracts, and AI training sets, and that choreographers have a historical claim to that work.
